As part of the 'Help Gerry Walk Again' fundraising initiative, a special 'Horse Power for Gerry' tractor, truck and car run will be hosted at Killinkere Leisure Centre on Sunday 14 April.
A year ago, Gerry Corrigan sustained a prolonged cardiac arrest which left him battling for his life initially, to where he is today. After defying medics and science on his rehabilitation journey to rebuilding his independence again. Gerry has made a miraculous recovery to date and was recently discharged home on a permanent basis. The journey is not over though. Upon discharge, Gerry needs many costly therapies and supports to maximize his full recovery and help him achieve his ultimate goal of walking independently.
Proceeds from the upcoming Charity Run will go towards assisting the Corrigan family in Gerry's rehabilitation. Hosted in collaboration with the The Rainbow Tractor Club and Love Photography, all tractor, truck and car enthusiasts are invited to take part in what will be a great event. Vehicle registration opens at Killinkere Leisure Centre from 10:30am ahead of a 12:30pm departure time. Entry is €20, with raffle prizes on the day.
There’ll be plenty of help on hand to facilitate traffic flow and ensure everyone enjoys the occasion. Refreshments will be served in the Centre before and after the Run. See you all there!
