It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Jimmy Cooney. Our thoughts and prayers are with Phyllis, Stephen, Bríd and his extended family at this time.

Jimmy was a true Gael of Killinkere and will be fondly remembered by all having made a great contribution to GAA in both Cavan and Killinkere over many years. Jimmy was a club President of CLG Killinkere, a long standing county board delegate and an accomplished and distinguished referee in Cavan.

Jimmy’s funeral mass will be held in Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia on Sunday arriving for 2 o’clock. There will be a guard of honour at Jimmy’s burial after funeral mass on Sunday afternoon at St.Mary’s Cemetary in Clanaphilip. Club members available are asked to be at Clanaphilip cemetary at 3pm.
